MISSION

The mission of the department is to provide an environment where students can learn and become competent users of mathematics and its applications. Moreover, the department will contribute to the development of students as mathematical thinkers and enabling them to become lifelong learners.

ELIGIBILITY

Students who want to pursue B.Sc. in Mathematics must meet the following minimum eligibility criteria:

  • The student must have passed Class 12th from a recognised board..
  • Mathematics must be one of the main subjects in Class 12th.Minimum percentage or marks expected in Class 12th may vary college/ Institute wise.
  • Admission process also varies college/ university wise. Some colleges/ universities accept admission on merit- basis.
  • Become competent users of Mathematics.
  • Become familiar with basic Mathematical and Statistical thinking and modeling.

CAREER OPTIONS AND JOB PROSPECTS

There are ample opportunities for students who hold a B.Sc. Mathematics degree. The student can pursue higher studies in Mathematics and join as a teacher or professor in top colleges/universities. The candidate can appear for a banking examination for various posts. Students can also make a career in the finance sector, IT sector, and research firms.

SALARY

The candidate can expect a starting salary of 3 lacs to 5 lacs per annum after pursuing B.Sc. in Mathematics.

  • The Department of the Mathematics which maintain a good record of service from its inception in 2010 the year in which the institution was established. B.Sc Mathematics.
  • Bachelor of Science in Mathematics is an undergraduate degree programme that comes under the Science stream. The 3 years B.Sc. degree programme is one of the popular courses that is chosen by students who have an interest in Mathematics subjects. It is an interesting course which is designed to focus on the in-depth topics related to Mathematics. Students who choose B.Sc. Mathematics has good career options.
  • Candidates who have a keen interest in Mathematics subjects can pursue B.Sc. Mathematics course. Students who go for further studies after the completion, of course, have a good career as a Teacher or Assistant Professor in Institute/ Colleges/ Universities.
  • The department feels proud of having highly qualified faculty members actively engaged in Teaching.
